Product Review @ Summaskye

SummaskyeSomething that excites me no end is the use of vintage fabrics and up-cycling in general! To take something that is seemingly redundant and giving it a new beginning is a talent second to none.

A handmade business I have become very fond of does this beautifully, this business is Summaskye. Skye (the styling seamstress that sits behind the name) is someone whose work I find very hard to ignore. As you look through her Facebook photo albums it is so easy to get lost in her fabric compilation and timeless designs.

Summaskye is committed to quality workmanship, exceptional service and supporting her fellow handmade businesses. With "vintage" being the new vogue in handmade it is hard for a business to set itself apart in such a competitive environment but Skye has taken her love for what she does, committed to it and her pieces in turn speak for themselves. Everything beautiful about the unique nature of up cycled fabrics can be found at Summaskye.

I encourage you to peruse the albums filled with pencil rolls intended for doodlers like me (why should the children always get the good stuff?), the dreamiest of owls (of which I am coveting), ponchos made from crochet goodness, doily bunting that would make any vintage lover swoon, dresses that are sweeter than candy ... and the list goes on.

Up-cycling, done with a vintage flair for contemporary styling ... what more could one ask for!

  2. I loooove her stuff! My girls are getting their bedroom walls painted soon, so the doily buntings are on the list for sure! :)
